Why people choose the 20 yard

The basement is what makes this size the default here. Peoria houses have full basements, most of them holding sixty or eighty years of somebody's decisions: a dead chest freezer, a workbench built in place, storm windows stacked against the coal chute, boxes that have not been opened since the Sixties. Will it fit?

Allow about 60 feet of straight approach for the truck and the tilt, roughly 10 and a half feet of width, and at least 20 feet of overhead clearance for the hoist arm. On the older tree-lined grid, low limbs and service drops are the most common reason we have to move a placement, so look up along the whole approach first. Rear alley access is often the better route in the historic districts. We keep boxes off steep bluff grades and set them level. Protection boards go down as standard. Out on the rural fringe, watch for soft spring ground and gravel township lanes, and flag any well head or septic field on acreage.
